A nine-year-old girl was killed after a gunman followed his intended target into her home and sprayed bullets with “complete disregard.”
Olivia Pratt-Korbel, who was getting ready for bed, was hiding behind her mother when a hitman chasing a rival opened fire and killed her. The little girl was shot dead as her mother Cheryl tried desperately to stop the masked assassin from entering their Liverpool home last night.
He managed to get inside and open fire, hitting Olivia in the chest and her mother in the wrist. The assailant then fled the scene as the child was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and is still at large.
Olivia died shortly after the 10 p.m. terror, while her mother was treated for a gunshot wound to the wrist. The intended victim, a 35-year-old man, was treated for multiple body wounds. As Olivia lay dying, his friends drove him to the hospital in a black Audi.
The night before, not far away, 28-year-old Ashley Dale was also gunned down at her semi. Last week Sam Rimmer, 22, was shot dead in Toxteth.
Even after all these years, gang violence in the city remains uncontrollable.
Once again, it is critical that even those who are normally reluctant to cooperate with police do so in order to find Olivia’s killer.
However, Liverpool is not an isolated incident.
Knife crime is widespread in London. This year’s 67 murders include an 87-year-old fundraiser on a mobility scooter.
The Met Police are in disarray. Labour Mayor Sadiq Khan, who is obsessed with climate change, blames it on the heat. What chance does the capital have?
Other cities are becoming more lawless. Six failing forces have been placed in special measures.
Yes, as crime appeared to be decreasing after 2010, police numbers were drastically reduced. But that’s not the end of the story. We have cops who have given up on real crime a long time ago. Instead, they obsess over “non-crime hate incidents” perpetrated by Twitter trolls.
And virtue signalling on social media, like officers dancing the Macarena at Pride events, is far more entertaining than the hard work of protecting the public.
Meanwhile, Covid backlogs and a strike have rendered our justice system inoperable. And judges continue to be overly lenient.
In one day, Britain received enough illegal migrants from cross-Channel boats to populate a village.
They will fill a town by the end of the year. Taxpayers facing £6,500 energy bills must clothe, feed, and house everyone. These are not genuine refugees, such as those we rescue from war zones.
Britain is a mess, and lives are no longer protected.
If Olivia was still alive, can this 9-year-old girl alarm the government?
How many more Olivias shall be killed before they do their job?
