According to new polls, roughly one-fifth of the British people support the reinstatement of Covid measures.

More In Common polled 2,033 people between November 30 and December 4 to see if they would support some Covid legislation.

The question was posed as follows: “Currently, there are no legal Covid-19 restrictions in place in the UK. Thinking of the current health situation in the UK, would you support or oppose the Government re-introducing each of the following Covid-19 restrictions at the current time?”

Polling found that 45% supported, with 16% strongly supporting, wearing face masks on public transit, and 8% strongly supporting the rule of six, restricting the number of persons who can meet outside.
