Pro-Palestine protesters to hold emergency rally around Parliament and demand ceasefire

Pro-Palestine demonstrators are expected to take to the streets in front of Parliament this week.

The Palestine Solidarity Campaign has announced plans for the latest rally calling for a cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas conflict, which will take place at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

The group is one of the organisers of the marches which have taken place in London on the last five Saturdays.

“Emergency rally for Palestine. On Wednesday MPs will vote on whether to call for a ceasefire in Palestine!” claimed the PSC in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

“Join us at 5pm at Parliament on Wednesday 15 November to demand MPs vote for a ceasefire now.”

The King’s Speech debate concludes on Wednesday. Voting normally takes place at this moment.

Both the Scottish National Party and Labour backbenchers have introduced amendments calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

However, which amendments are presented to a vote is up to Commons Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle.

It comes after a controversial pro-Palestine march by 300,000 people on Remembrance Day.
