Snowfall confirmed TOMORROW as temperatures set to fall to -7C

The Met Office has confirmed that temperatures will drop below freezing next week, so Britons should prepare for snow.

Snowfall is anticipated in portions of the United Kingdom as temperatures drop to -7 degrees Celsius.

The Met Office predicts “hill snow affecting parts of Scotland and northeast England” beginning Monday.

“The most likely outcome beyond mid-week is that rain from the west slowly moves east, with snow possible over higher ground and a continued risk of showers over eastern parts,” said Met Office Deputy Chief Meteorologist Dan Harris.

“However, there is a chance that a more active weather system arrives from the southwest, which would bring more widespread rain, stronger winds, and the potential for more significant snowfall should the air over the UK become sufficiently cold ahead of it.”

The weather office expects that as the month draws to a close, there will be a “potential snow event”.

They expect the week will start “dry and widely cold at first, with a few showers around coasts”.

The wet weather is expected to turn into snowfall and sleet in parts of north and east England.

Snow is expected to fall heavy over steep terrain.

According to weather maps, the wintery conditions will likely endure a fortnight.

Next Friday, it will sweep across the United Kingdom, from Wick to just outside London.

The snow bomb will hit England next Thursday at roughly 9 a.m.

On December 7, central Scotland will experience temperatures of -11 degrees Celsius.

Snow will cover much of the south of England by December 8.

The temperature will drop below freezing across the UK, with -5 degrees Celsius in Wales and -7 degrees Celsius in North West England.
