Boris Johnson SECURES new job hours after release of Partygate report he dubbed a ‘DERANGED’ stitch-up

Boris Johnson is said to have acquired a lucrative new job following his spectacular exit from Parliament.

The former Prime Minister resigned as an MP last Friday, ahead of the release of the Privileges Committee’s Partygate investigation yesterday, which looked into whether he willfully deceived MPs with his denials of shutdown rule-breaking.

However, Mr Johnson has already found a new job following his resignation from the Commons. According to three different sources, he is the “erudite new columnist” teased on the front page of the Daily Mail today.

An insider told the website that he is being paid a “very high six-figure sum” to write a weekly column that will begin tomorrow.

The news would be a source of consternation for Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who is locked in a nasty feud with his former boss.

Mr Johnson has previously stated his intention to return to frontline politics, vowing in a letter that he will continue to press the Conservatives to “fully deliver on Brexit and the 2019 manifesto.”

It comes after the Privileges Committee released a 30,000-word report yesterday that indicated he purposefully deceived Parliament with his Partygate denials.
