19-Year-Old Greta Thunberg Delivers Climate Warning in ‘Middle-Class’ Glastonbury Music Fest

Greta Thunberg, a long-time climate activist, took to the stage at Glastonbury on Saturday to preach about the dangers of climate change, much to the delight of many in the audience.

Having previously made headlines for criticising the EU for allegedly being too lenient toward nuclear energy, Thunberg announced earlier this year that she is working on a book that she hopes will become the go-to source on climate change.

The teen climate activist took to the stage to condemn the current “climate and ecological emergency.”

“The biosphere is not just changing, it is destabilising, it is breaking down,” she claimed, before also reportedly saying that “this is not the new normal”.

Thunberg went on to criticise politicians for not being green enough, claiming that those in power needed to do even more to adhere to her green agenda, despite the damage such programmes have caused to some nations unfortunate enough to have adhered to them militantly.

“Today, our political leaders are allowed to say one thing and do the exact opposite,” she asserted. “They can claim to be climate leaders, while at the same time expand their nation’s fossil fuel infrastructure.”

Thunberg’s newest stint in the name of green politics — while receiving praise from Glastonbury festival organisers — likely comes at a particularly bad time for many in the UK and elsewhere who are now struggling to power their homes due, in part, to the climate-crazy policies the Swede has consistently advocated for.

Furthermore, the activist’s actions may be viewed as problematic by her fellow progressives, with music festivals such as Glastonbury being repeatedly chastised by other big-brained leftists for being too white.

The festival, which costs around £280 per ticket, has since drawn criticism from many in the UK cultural sphere, with festival organisers taking steps to at the very least increase the number of black performers on stage.
