Brits will soon face additional financial checks when travelling to Spain, and will also require a paid pass to travel to all EU countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
British tourists visiting Spain will soon fall into the same category as other non-EU visitors, and they may be required to show proof of accommodation and a return ticket under new rules. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, while Britons are reeling from the news, one European commentator has urged the UK to “stop complaining” about the Brexit changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Brexit means Brexit,” French political commentator Julian Hoez tweeted. “Stop complaining to Europeans and start complaining to your MPs and local representatives.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His tweet comes as British tourists must prove they can spend at least \u00a385 per day in order to enter Spain, one of Europe’s most popular vacation destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, under new rules set to take effect in early 2023, all non-EU tourists will be required to apply for the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) visa before travelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new document is expected to cost around \u20ac7 (\u00a36) and will apply to anyone between the ages of 18 and 70.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
