WOKE ALERT: NHS Hiring More Diversity Chiefs Despite Cost Of Living Crisis

The NHS continues to hire pointless diversity and inclusion managers, despite Rishi Sunak’s promise to cut waste across the public sector amid the cost of living crisis.

The roles available include ‘Head of Equalities’ with an advertised salary of up to £90,387 a year.

The job description for ‘Race Equality Lead’ states it will prioritise candidates from specific backgrounds: “We are committed to creating and sustaining a fully inclusive culture. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and communities, and we particularly welcome applicants who are currently underrepresented in our workforce. This particularly includes applications from communities that experience racial inequality and disabled candidates.”

As ‘Senior Equality and Inclusion Practitioner’ you will “ensure that equality issues are embedded into the daily functions and activities of the Northern Care Alliance.”

Two weeks ago, Rishi Sunak announced he would chair a new ‘Efficiency and Value for Money Committee’ that plans to cut £5.5 billion of waste across the public sector, with a specific promise to double the NHS’s efficiency commitment to 2.2% a year.
