President Meghan? Prince Harry’s Wife is Democratic Party’s Top Choice to Lead 2024 USA Presidency

According to new polling, Meghan Markle is the Democratic Party’s top choice for the presidency in 2024. The Washington-based Democracy Institute conducted an exclusive poll of likely Democratic voters, and 64 per cent believe the party should run a female candidate in the next presidential election in two years.

And the Duchess of Sussex, living in California with Prince Harry after stepping down from royal duties, was voted first in a poll of 1,500 likely voters by 525 Democrats.

Vice President Kamala Harris came in second with 25%. Hillary Clinton, defeated by Donald Trump in 2016, and left-wing Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tied for third place with 20%.

Patrick Basham, director of the Democracy Institute, stated: “We have confirmed that the majority of Democrats want and, in fact, demand a female candidate the next time around.

“It has been said for a few years that the Democrats will pretty soon be in a position where the national Democratic party stops nominating white heterosexual males as candidates.

“Previously we have had Michelle Obama in there, she is not a serious candidate because she does not appear to be serious about running.

“The elephant in the room on the Democratic side is Meghan Markle, who continues to make moves out there and I would argue test the water in various ways and in various senses.”

“As a newcomer, she hasn’t been tested and hasn’t been found to fail. She remains a viable contender if she chooses to go down that path.”

The poll also found that former US President Donald Trump was preferred over incumbent Joe Biden.

When asked who they would vote for if the presidential election in 2024 was between Mr Trump and Mr Biden, 49 percent said the Republican, while 45 percent said the Democrat. Six percent were unsure.

Mr Trump, who has refused to accept the results of the 2020 election, gave his strongest hint yet that he may run again earlier this week.

He told supporters at an Iowa rally that he would “very, very, very probably do it again” in 2024.

Meanwhile, there is widespread speculation that former actress Meghan Markle, who has previously called Mr Trump “divisive” and “misogynistic,” will run for President of the United States.
