Boris will Be Back by 2023, Claims Former Culture Secretary

Boris Johnson may be on his way back to No. 10 after one of his closest allies suggested he could be Prime Minister within a year.

Former culture secretary Nadine Dorries, a vocal supporter of Mr Johnson throughout his premiership, predicted that Rishi Sunak would be removed soon due to low poll ratings.

Ms Dorries told Dan Wootton on GB News that Mr Johnson’s political career is far from over.

“It isn’t just me. I can assure you that my phone is full of messages indicating that he will return.

“When you have someone with his uniqueness, appeal, and level of genius, you’re not going to get a male, stale, and pale individual.

“He makes mistakes. He makes gaffes. So does everybody in the country. That’s why they like him, because it’s like looking in a reflection.”

“Many of the people who were anti-Boris realise they are nothing without their seat.

“They have no voice, no one is interested in what they will have to say, not even down at the job centre.”

“I definitely think one day Boris Johnson will be back.”

Boris Johnson was in hot water from the beginning of 2022, with fury over the partygate scandal.

Despite surviving a confidence vote, Boris Johnson’s leadership came to an end in July, when Rishi Sunak resigned as chancellor and Sajid Javid resigned as health secretary.

It came after Chris Pincher resigned as deputy chief whip following allegations that he groped two men at the upmarket Carlton Club, but it was revealed that Mr Johnson was aware of the allegations against him as early as 2019.

Amid further resignations, the prime minister announced he would stand down, triggering a leadership election after which Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss were left to battle head-to-head.
