Liz Truss has been accused of “trying to ignore” Brexit by angry lefties.
Brexit, according to Guardian columnist Rafael Behr, is “the monster under the bed that Ms Truss must face if she is to be the next Prime Minister.”
The Foreign Secretary and chief Brexit negotiator is widely expected to be the next Tory party leader when members vote next week.
However, Ms Truss, according to Andrew Adonis, chair of European Movement UK, is “desperately trying to ignore Brexit.”
He said: “On Britain’s relationship with the EU, the Tory party recognises only two possible positions: heroic insistence on further severance or cowardly plotting to rejoin.”
